Donna Jean (Blom) Weishoff

Donna Jean Weishoff, age 88, of Cloverleaf Lakes and Shawano, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord on Saturday, June 29, 2019. Born on July 7, 1930 in the Town of Lessor, Donna was the daughter of the late Adolph and Ethel (Weisnicht) Blom. Donna was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior Lutheran Church in the Town of Lessor and graduated from Seymour High School.
On June 17, 1950 she was united in marriage to Loyal E. Weishoff at Trinity Lutheran Church in Green Bay. Loyal and Donna owned and operated the Embarrass Sand and Gravel Pit as well as the Cloverleaf Go Kart Track. Donna was an active member of Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville for 55 years, where she taught Sunday school, vacation Bible school, and adult Bible studies. Donna held a variety of offices with the ALCW, and traveled on mission trips to several areas in Asia and Africa. Donna and Loyal loved to entertain friends and family and hosted numerous international guests throughout the years. Donna and Loyal often referred to their home of 60 years as “paradise”, where they were able to look onto the lake and watch the variety of wildlife gather on their lawn. In their retirement years, they also enjoyed the chalet that they built on the waterfront. Donna enjoyed cooking, baking, bowling, reading, gardening, playing cards, dice, and dominos, and following the Brewers and Packers. More than anything she loved spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.
Donna is survived by two daughters, Jeri Lee (Mike) Montour and Jeanne (Mike) Rueckert both of Shawano; four grandchildren, Jessica (Brian Robinson) of Austin, Texas, Rich (fiancé Elsa Moz Cruz) Montour of Shawano, Perry (fiancé Katherine Hansen) Rueckert of Shawano, and Rebecca (Bill) Marohl of Shawano; great grandchildren, Bryce Marohl, Kayleigh Hansen, Fernanda Moz Cruz, Jackson, Addilynn, and Logan Rueckert; two brothers, Douglas (Vivian) Blom of Ft. Atkinson and Gerald (Gloria) Blom of Green Bay; a brother-in-law, Laverne Weishoff of Manitowoc; a sister-in-law, Leila Skorczewski of Green Bay; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Loyal, on November 5, 2010; a grandson, Mic Montour; her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Ralph Reeves; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary Elyn and Loren “Jiggs” Griswold; sister-in-law, Kathleen Weishoff; and brother-in-law, Jan Skorczewski.
A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, 1254 S. Union St. in Shawano, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2019 with Rev. Scott Ludford officiating. Visitation and reception will be held at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.
Over the last six year it’s been difficult for Donna’s friends and family to watch her health decline from Alzheimer’s, but Donna always knew everyone and still enjoyed visiting with family and friends. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff and caregivers of The Cottages on Golden Pond and Maple Lane in Shawano.
William H. Greenough, Jr.

William H. “Bill” Greenough, Jr., age 86 of Shawano, passed away at home on June 29, 2019.
Bill was born on October 28, 1932, in Galveston, Texas to the late William H. and Hermilia C. (Torres) Greenough, Sr. Upon graduation, he served his country in the United States Navy for four years. On February 4, 1961, Bill was united in marriage to Jane Lynn, in Galveston, at the First Presbyterian Church. During their life together, Bill and Jane searched to find their home in the Galveston Seventh-Day Adventist Church. His devotion to the church led him to become the Head Deacon of the church for many years, before serving as the Head Elder. Jane preceded Bill in death, after 42 years of marriage, on January 19, 2003. Bill moved to Shawano in 2006, where he became a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
He is survived by: his daughter, Christina Allen of Shawano; his son, Michael (Janice) Greenough of Fredericksburg, Virginia; three grandchildren, Leah, Jodi, and Samantha; two great-grandchildren, Neko and Luke; his brother, George (Kathy) Greenough; his sister, Sarah Robinson; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane and his parents.
Private family services will be held.
David Howard Stumpf

David Howard Stumpf of Shawano passed away on June 27, 2019, at Shawano Health Service Facility. David battled with cancer. He was born on July 18, 1958 to Howard and Juanita (Skibba) Stumpf in Appleton.
David was a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. David had may hobbies. He was also set a world record in the Guiness World Records on October of 2013 for the largest Lincoln Log structure. David was a very happy and colorful man.
David is preceded in death by his parents and one brother (Howard John).
David is survived by brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews.
David wanted to say goodbye to all his family and friends and a special thank you to Anna Smith and Ruth Treptow (special friendship and caregiving).
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Christopher J. Corn

Christopher J. Corn, age 21 of Little Chute, formerly of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 28, 2019. Chris was born on October 3, 1997 in Green Bay and was a graduate of Shawano Community High School, Class of 2016. He was a member of the Army National Guard. Chris always knew how to make someone smile and was always there for others. He loved working on cars and was an avid video gamer. He was deeply loved and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his parents, Jeff and Carol (Fluette); siblings, Kira, Darell and Daniel. He is also survived by his birth mom, Shannon (Joe) Pierce and siblings Cheyenne, Josiah, Christian, Austin, and Angie, grandfather Russ Breunig, Aunt Diana (Scott) Taubel, uncles Timothy (Penny) Fluette, Todd Fluette, Jon (Allee) Fluette, James (Julie) Fluette, and special friends, Kayla Flores and Ryan West, along with numerous extended family. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Cheryl Breunig, Robert Corn, Ronald and Maureen (Stanton) Fluette, an aunt, Roberta Wilber and a sister Tianna Rupar.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah and at the church on Friday from 4 p.m. until the time of services. Funeral services for Chris will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, July 12, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 324 Nicolet Blvd., Menasha with Fr. Jim Hablewitz and Pastoral Leader Mary Krueger officiating.

Jeffrey M. Lawrenz, 66, of Cleveland, passed away Thursday morning, July 4, 2019, while spending time on his property in Wausaukee.
Born Jan. 1, 1953, in Milwaukee to Jacob and Viola (Perkins) Lawrenz. He attended Kewaskum High School and has worked at the Kohler Company foundry for 20 years. He also spent many years building agricultural silos. Jeff enjoyed fixing old cars and helping friends and neighbors with various projects. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time on his land in Wausaukee.
Jeff is survived by his children, Malinda (Nathan) Lawrenz-Wright, Shane (Samantha) Lawrenz and Stephanie (Josh) Poirier; his grandchildren, Quentin Wright, Bailey Lawrenz and Gabe Wright; his mother, Viola Lawrenz; a brother, Randy (Laurie) Lawrenz; a sister, Janet Lawrenz; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; and his beagle, Pepper.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob; a brother, Keith Lawrenz; and a sister, Elizabeth Lawrenz.
A memorial service for Jeffrey will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 11, 2019, at the Olson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Ave., Sheboygan. The Rev. Lorri Steward will officiate. Relatives and friends are welcome at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.

Leone “Lee” Stark

Leone “Lee” Stark, 71, of Kaukauna, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee surrounded by family. Lee was born on Nov. 17, 1947, daughter of the late John “Jack” and Zita (Muraski) Alft and grew up in White Lake. Lee married John Stark on May 10, 1969, at St. James Church in White Lake and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past May. Lee always liked watching the Packers and would wear their colors proudly. She also fondly looked forward to returning to White Lake each year for its annual Fourth of July celebration. Lee was a checker at Larry’s Piggly Wiggly in Kaukauna for 25 years before retiring.
Lee is survived by her husband, John; and two sons, Steve Stark and partner Jolee and her son, Quinn, Jason and wife Michelle Stark and their children, Zayonna, Carlos, and Davis. She is also survived by her four sisters, Mary (Tom) Stark, Nancy Carroll, Jane (Dave) Demeny and Audrey Hanson; and a brother, George (Connie) Alft.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Alft.
Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna. Visitation was held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of services.

Elda Marie Vele

Elda Marie Vele, 87, of Bowler, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2019, in Wausau. She was born on April 29, 1932, to the late Herbert Stick and Ella (Gardner) Stick Besaw in Red Springs. Elda lived in the Milwaukee area for many years, and in 1988, she returned to Bowler. She loved spending her time with her grandchildren, gardening and completing crossword puzzles.
Elda was survived by her daughters, Gloria Vele and Cheryl Vele, both of Bowler; her sons, Adrian (Jeannie) Vele, of Bowler, Dennis Vele, of Redgranite, Jeff (Rebecca) Vele, of Bowler, and Scott (Rebecca) Vele, of Red Springs; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Reimer, of Bowler, and Bette Besaw, of Bowler; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Ella; three sons, Curtis, Gerald and Randall Vele; grandchildren, Erica, John Coon, Forest, and Randall Jr.; siblings, Howard, Owen, Gordon, Harvey, Syral, Lena, Leo, Dave and Jack.
Gathering of family was held at her residence. Burial was held in Gresham Public Cemetery.

Arthur Schoff

Arthur “Art” Schoff, 91, died on Monday, July 1, 2019 in Shawano. He was born July 10, 1927, in Marshfield, the son of the late Harry and Olga (Mykelby) Schoff. After graduating from high school, Art served in the Navy until 1946. He then attended the Wisconsin State Teachers College in Stevens Point, where he graduated in 1951 with a teaching degree, and later obtained a master’s degree in education. He married Mary Ann “Chuck” Beranek on Aug. 18, 1951, in Ladysmith, and moved to Shawano, where he taught at Lincoln and Brener schools, and retired after 38 years of service.
Art was a longtime member of Peace United Church of Christ in Shawano and served on the church council and various committees. He contributed to the community in many different capacities including serving on city committees and commissions, providing hunter safety courses and Red Cross first aid instruction. He was involved in Boy Scouts for most of his life and received the Silver Beaver Award for Distinguished Service. After retirement, his love of nature and his skills in teaching young people were combined in his second “informal career” as a volunteer outdoor educator at the Navarino Nature Center.
A lifelong learner, Art pursued many different interests including wood carving, reading and collecting books on history, religion, and nature, gunsmithing, and most notably, birding; he spent countless hours watching, counting, recording, traveling, and learning about the world of birds. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting, fishing, camping, canoeing, and simply being in the woods.
He is survived by his children, Peggy Schoff, Madison, Patrick (Julie) Schoff, Duluth, Jackie (Vernon) Griffin, Arlington, Texas, and Kathy Schoff, Madison; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Tony), Jesse, Ainsley and Alexandra (Kyle); three great-grandchildren, Poppy, Walter and James; one brother, Keith Schoff, Madison, and his family.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 13 at 11 a.m. at Peace United Church of Christ in Shawano with Pastor Gail Irwin officiating. The family will receive friends after 10 on Saturday at the church until the time of services.

Donald Rudolph Heller

Donald Rudolph Heller, 84, passed away July 7, 2019, at Shawano Health Services Rest Home in Shawano. Donald was born in Bonduel on Oct. 5, 1934, the son of the late Alfred and Hildegard (Boettcher) Heller. On Oct. 31, 1962, Donald was united in marriage to Nancy Boettcher.
Donald displayed an innate mechanical ability at a very young age and began his lifelong vocation as a mechanic at the age of 15. Donald worked as a skilled mechanic at Rose Hardware Store, Farmer’s Implement, Swiderski Implement, Liebergen Implement, and completed his career at Sorenson Lumber. In addition to his full-time jobs, Donald was regularly called upon by farmers throughout the area to repair their tractors and equipment. Donald took great pride in his career and enjoyed the resulting relationships he built throughout the Bonduel area. Donald also greatly enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Donald is survived by his wife, Nancy Heller, of Bonduel; his children, Barbara Schuettpelz, of Green Bay, Peggy (Keith) Richter, of Shawano, and Craig (Kimberly) Heller, of Athens; his grandchildren Christopher (Erica) Schuettpelz, Matthew Richter, Melissa Richter, Nathan (Nafeesa) Heller and Kristin Heller, and his sister, Darlene Heller, of Hobart.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Kenneth, Alfred Jr. “Fritz” and Frank.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Virgil Hanson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Friedens Cemetery in Slab City immediately following the service.
Donald’s family would like to express its deepest appreciation to the staff at Shawano Health Services who took such great care of Donald since his stroke in 2013, which left him without use of his right leg or hand.
Joyce D. Christjohn

Joyce D. Christjohn, 79, of Oneida, passed away July 7, 2019, at her home.
She was born Nov. 15, 1939, in Birnamwood, the youngest of 14 children born to the late Edwin and Adele (Larson) Matson. On Oct. 19, 1974, she married Ronald Christjohn in Tigerton. He survives.
Joyce had many interests, including trips to Door County, treasure hunting at rummage sales or attending her church bible classes. She was an avid Brewers fan. She loved her dogs, coffee and music, especially Elvis, the Bee Gees and Tanya Tucker.
Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Ronald, of Oneida; 10 children, Eric Erickson, of Two Rivers, Sue (Rocky) Kauffman, of Seymour, Lee (Pam) Christjohn, of Antigo, Lief (Bonnie) Erickson, of Shawano, Carl Christjohn, of Antigo, Vicki (Greg) Strebig, of Kronenwetter, Lisa Hirt (Michael Glover), of Antigo, Rachel (Ron) Steebs, of Eland, Wanda Tucker, of Marion, and Tammy Vondracek, of Tigerton; many, many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law Darlene Matson and Sally Matson Hermann, both of Tigerton, Theresa DeVerney of Michigan, and Barbara (Craig) Hughes, of Michigan; brothers-in-law, Tony (Tina) Baxter, of Valders, Georgie (Cheryl) DeVerney and Butch (Joyce) DeVerney, both of Michigan; special friend, Tina Tatro, of Antigo; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, Erling, Kenneth, Marvin, Melvin, Ardis, Donald, Vernon, Milton, Janet, Doris, Eugene, two sisters in infancy, Edith and Evelyn; one granddaughter, Kayona; and one grandson, Adam.
Funeral service will be held at noon Saturday, July 13, 2019, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Wittenberg. The Rev. Matthew Christians will officiate. Burial will be in the Bethany Cemetery, Wittenberg, at a later date. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

James P. Krause, 81, of Cecil, formerly of Gillett, passed away on June 26, 2019, with his family by his side.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Faith United Lutheran Church, 11465 Old U, Gillett. Pastor John Laasch will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, 11639 County Road H, Gillett. Full military honors will be conducted by AmVets Post 10. William Carl ‘Bill’ Thiede

William Carl “Bill” Thiede, 91, of Bonduel, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019, in Shawano. Bill was born on Sep. 6, 1927, in Bonduel, to the late Julius and Ida (Drage) Thiede. He graduated from Bonduel High School. On June 9, 1956, Bill was united in marriage to Evangeline Messerschmidt at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel. Evangeline preceded Bill in death, after 62 years of marriage, on Sept. 9, 2018.
In 1950, Bill was drafted into the military and served as a corporal in the United States Army 28th Infantry from 1950 to 1952. After an honorable discharge from the military, Bill worked at Bleick Creamery until 1953 when he accepted a position in the sales and service department at Larsen Furniture. After his training with Philco Corporation, Bill serviced countless televisions in many people’s homes. Bill also enjoyed driving school bus for 37 years. In his free time, Bill enjoyed crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, table puzzles, reading, playing the keyboard, playing solitaire on his computer and attending Tuesday Bible Classes. Bill was a wonderful man and a friend to all. He was active in his community, serving as commander of the Bonduel’s Zernicke-Wegner American Legion Post 217 and as president of the Bonduel Community Archive. He was also active with the Bonduel Community Industries, Bonduel Civic Association, St. Paul’s men’s club, and St. Paul’s stewardship committee.
Bill is survived by sister-in-law, Donna Seefeldt; nieces and nephews, Dennis (Karen) Heimer, Jane Heimer, Dr. Karen Walch (Paul) Kinsinger, Sherry (Glenn) Hill, Randy (Bonnie) Bramschreiber, Dan (Julie) Bramschreiber, Tammy (Keith) Rosin, and Debbie (Don) Buresh; many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Evangeline “Vangie” Thiede; his parents, Julius and Ida; a sister, Evelyn Heimer; sisters-in-law, Florence Mavis and Ethel Bramschreiber-Svetnicka; brothers-in-law, Leonard Heimer, Bob Bramschreiber, Art Mavis, Harold Thompson and Ken Seefeldt; nephew, Larry Heimer; and a niece, Kathie Thompson.
Funeral services for Bill will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2019 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Timothy Shoup officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Military honors will be conducted by the Bonduel American Legion Post 217 following the service.
