Ruth M. Marquardt, 84, of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, in Shawano.
Ruth was born in Marinette on Oct. 14, 1932, the daughter of the late Walter and Meta (Beyer) Jasch. She graduated from Marinette High School in 1951. On June 2, 1956, Ruth was united in marriage to Harry G. Marquardt in Marinette. In 1962, the couple relocated to Shawano. On May 25, 2010, Harry preceded her in death.
Ruth was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, enjoyed cooking and loved spending time with her family, especially time spent with her grandchildren.
Ruth is survived by her four children, Lynn (Ted) Steiner, of Stillwater, Minnesota, and their children, Theodore and Samuel, Keith (Brenda) Marquardt, of Shawano, and their children, Spencer, Madeline and Ben, Paul (Amy) Marquardt, of Hartland, and their children, Melinda and Paige, and Darci (Andy) Van Sickle, of Pulaski, and their children, Andrew and Charles; and one sister, Gretchen Kienitz of Marinette.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; her parents; and two sisters, Dorothy Brooks and Gertrude in infancy.
Funeral services for Ruth will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Pastor Lois Graper officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from noon until the time of the service.
