Joseph A. Pleshek

Joseph A. Pleshek, 95, of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, passed away on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016. He was born in Gresham on Aug. 15, 1921, to the late Joseph and Lorena (McGee) Pleshek.

On Nov. 9, 1946, Joe married Gladys Otto. Joe was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army for five years, 2½ of which were overseas.

He had various jobs throughout his life, which included logging, working at Skelgas in Weyauwega, and owning/operating Pleshek Heating, also in Weyauwega.

Joe enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf, and was an avid softball player.

He will be sadly missed by his wife, Gladys; daughters, Ronda (Don) Woltersdorf, of La Crosse, Mary Jo (Perry) Stone, of Appleton, and Marsha (Mark) Gerlach, of Waupaca; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and friends.

The memorial service will be on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home, N2620 State Highway 22, Waupaca. Friends and family may gather from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the St. Francis Solanus Catholic Cemetery in Gresham.

The family would like to thank the staff of Olson Hall fifth floor for all of their great care.
