
Orlen “Mickey” Marohl, 79, of Cecil, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, in Oconto Falls. Born on Jan. 6, 1939, in the Town of Hartland, son of the late Phillip and Lorraine (Bahr) Marohl. Mickey graduated from Bonduel High School in 1956 and enlisted in the United States Army, serving until his honorable discharge in 1963. Following his discharge, he worked as a policeman and fireman in Illinois and then for the Colorado Highway Department for 21 years before retiring and returning to Wisconsin. On July 21, 2009, Mickey was united in marriage to Theresa Bushman Danke in Shawano. He was a true outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Theresa Marohl; a son, Larry Marohl, of Loveland, Colorado; a grandson, Zach Frank; two great-grandchildren, Karter and Ella; stepsons, Chad (Gloria) Danke, of Shawano, and Wayne (Jeanine) Danke, of Brillion; 11 nieces and nephews, Ronald Marohl, Janice (Don) Herm, Stephen “Charlie” (Barb) Marohl, Robert (Sherry) Marohl, Stan (Janet) Marohl, Bill (Becca) Marohl, Eddie (Julie) Marohl, Jim (Jane) Marohl, David (Corby) Marohl, Susie (Jay) Williams and Paula Wierzba. He is further survived by numerous great nieces and great nephews as well as other relatives and many friends.
Mickey was preceded in death by a son, Richard; his parents; and siblings, Adolph “Rainbow” Marohl and Elaine “2D” Falk.
In accordance with Mickey’s wishes, no services will be held.
