Jaime Lee Matchopatow, 34, of Keshena, was called home to the Spirit World on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Jaime was born on Aug. 29, 1982, in Shawano, a son of John Heczko Sr. and Mavis Matchopatow. He graduated from Menominee Indian High School and worked as a groundskeeper at a filling station.
Jaime enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his sons, Jayme Matchopatow, of Shawano, and Dante Matchopatow, of Keshena; his parents, John Heczko Sr., of Shawano, and Mavis Matchopatow, of Keshena; three sisters, Lori (Ted) Gillis, of Pulaski, Krysten Matchopatow, of Keshena, and Kayeloni Heczko, of Keshena; three brothers, Jordon Matchopatow, of Janesville, Jeffrey Matchopatow, of Keshena, and John (Marie) Heczko IV, of Shawano; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and a nephew, Trent Matchopatow.
A Funeral Mass for Jaime Lee Matchopatow will be celebrated on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 11 a.m. at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Keshena. The Rev. Francis Zurbano will be the celebrant. Burial will take place in the St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call after 4 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the Serenna Waupoose residence, W2631 Chief Josette St., Keshena, until the procession leaves for church on Saturday. Alvines A. “Venny” Taylor, “Shūn dah kwe,” 68, of Bowler, passed away on April 24, 2017. Born on Valentine’s Day in 1949, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Cleo (Welch) Malone. She attended Bowler schools and graduated from Bowler High School in 1967.
On Dec. 7, 1968, Venny was united in marriage to James “Jim” Taylor in Morgan Siding. Venny worked as a pharmacy technician at the Stockbridge Health and Wellness Center for many years. In her free time she enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, making crafts and playing bingo, but nothing compared to the joy she felt spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her husband of 48 years, Jim; three daughters, Kim Taylor, of Shawano, Selena Taylor, of Green Bay, and Tessa (Chad) Paiser, of Gresham; seven beloved grandchildren, Taylor and Sahara Burr, Kendra and Bailey Fish, and Justice, Taylyn and Jameson Paiser; seven siblings, Vint Malone, Roger (Anne) Malone, Randy (Kristy) Malone, Sheldon Malone, Tim (Verna) Malone, Todd (Sarita) Malone and Loretta Pecore. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Venny was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Martin Malone; two sisters, Evon Lasher and Violet Hill; and Elvis.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017, at the Mohican Elderly Center with the Rev. John Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held at the Elderly Center on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service.

Peggy Lynn Bastar, 68, of Shawano, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 23, 2017, surrounded by her family.
Born on Feb. 5, 1949, in Shawano, Peggy was the daughter of the late Henry and Pauline (DeSwarte) Ainsworth. Peggy graduated from Shawano High School and on Dec. 31, 1966, was united in marriage to John C. Bastar.
Peggy was truly selfless, always putting the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed baking and gardening in her free time, but nothing was more important to her than her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Peggy is survived by her five children, Jennifer (Paul) Parrott, Jayson (Amy) Bastar, Johanna (Jody) Schoen, Jessica (Matt) Knitter and Janalee (Jason) Krueger; 21 grandchildren, Robert, Katilynn, David, Pauline, Amanda, Stephanie, Elizabeth, Emilee, Jordon, Anna Marie, Kelsey, Mollie, Hattie, William, Johnathan, Aubrey, Aiden, Angellena, Lauren, Morgan and Max; as well as three great-grandchildren, Jadyn, Myla and Haylee. She is further survived by her siblings, Kenneth Ainsworth, Phyllis Ward, Crystal (Herbert) Sandmire, Pauline (Bob) Buchner, John Ainsworth and Patricia (Tim) McGuire; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in March 2015; a granddaughter, Theresa Joy; her parents; and two brothers, Gordon and Vernon.
A funeral service for Peggy will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017, at First Presbyterian Church in Shawano with Elder Nanette Anderson officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

Daroll R. Mueller, 82, of Clintonville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, April 26, 2017, surrounded by his family at ThedaCare Medical Center-Shawano.
Daroll was born on Jan. 9, 1935, in Shawano County as the son of the late Harry and Dorothy (Radtke) Mueller. In 1953, he graduated from Shawano High School and then graduated from a two-year drafting apprenticeship in Milwaukee. On April 16, 1955, he married Nancy Baril at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. The couple lived the remainder of their lives in Clintonville, where they became members of St. Martin Lutheran Church.
As a member at St. Martin, Daroll served on the cemetery board and ushered for many years. He also volunteered in various other church activities.
Daroll worked for 42 years at FWD/Seagrave in Clintonville as a chassis designer. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to fly fish for bluegill and trout. He also enjoyed playing basketball and pitched slow-pitch softball well after his retirement.
Survivors include his wife of over 62 years, Nancy Mueller, Clintonville; children, Kurt (Sharon) Mueller, Appleton, Glenn Mueller, Wausau, Valarie (Loran) Susor, Minocqua, and Kent (Cindy) Mueller, Marshfield; grandchildren, Erin (Andy) Scott, Fall Creek, Corey (Cassie) Mueller, Merrill, Bradley (special friend Emily Butkus) Mueller, McFarland, and Benjamin Susor, Minocqua; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Olivia Mueller, Merrill, and Rheya Scott, Fall Creek; sister, Lana (Roger) Buelow, Shawano; sister-in-law, Carol Baril, Kimberly; and numerous other relatives.
Daroll was preceded in death by his parents.

Debralie Kristof, 60, of Cloverleaf Lakes, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2017, in Appleton.
Debralie was born in Green Bay on June 2, 1956, the daughter of Rudolph and Marjorie (Lemke) Boeder. She graduated from Brillion High School in 1974. On April 29, 1979, Debralie was united in marriage to Peter Kristof at Zion Lutheran Church in Wayside. She worked for Fort Howard Paper Mill for 26 years and as a massage therapist at Pure Essence before working out of her home.
Debralie enjoyed playing cards and also enjoyed her cats. She liked going antiquing and to the flea market with her best friends, Kay and Kathy. Debralie was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and active in fundraising for events held around Cloverleaf Lake. More than anything, she loved watching her grandchildren’s sporting events and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Debralie is survived by her loving husband, Peter; her daughters, Jessica Kristof and Miranda (Dave) Kristof; her stepson, Adam Holcomb; four grandchildren, Jadin, Kiana, Dylan and Tyarra; her parents, Rudolph and Marjorie Boeder; brothers and sisters, Thomas Boeder, Victor (Diane) Boeder, Diane (special friend, Tom) Boeder and Mark Boeder. She is further survived by her mother-in-law, Veronica Kristof, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Bryan J. Meyer, 34, of La Porte, Indiana, and formerly of the Clintonville area, passed away Monday morning, May 1, 2017, at the La Porte Hospital in La Porte as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

Col. Curtis Delaine Westphal, USAF retired, 87, of Austin, Texas, died April 30, 2017.
Col. Westphal was born in Bonduel. He attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School and Bonduel High School, after which he attended Whitewater and Oshkosh state colleges. He enlisted in the Air Force in May 1951 and retired in 1981 after 30 years of service. He was awarded the Silver Star, seven Air Force Crosses, 34 Air Medals and the Bronze Star for gallantry in action. Among his other awards are two Legion of Merits, Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service, Commendation Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with eight oak leaf clusters, Army good conduct medal and the Combat Readiness medal.
Col. Westphal flew 512 combat missions in Vietnam as an F-4 fighter aircraft commander. He is credited with one MIG-21 destroyed. He was a life member of the VFW, Disabled American Veterans and the Retired Officer’s Association. He was also a member of the Red River Rats.
Survivors include his wife, Thanomsri, of Austin; son, Curtis D. II, Arvada, Colorado; daughter, Susan Shockley, Dallas, Texas; son, Steven, St. Petersburg, Florida; son, Siva, U.S. Army, Austin, Texas; daughter, Valee, Austin, Texas; sister, Nancy Pierce, Aurora, Colorado; and brother, Kenneth, Shawano.
No local service. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery.
Mary Lou Day-Turner, 71, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017.
Mary Lou was born in Chicago on Nov. 15, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Amesse) Day. She was a 1963 graduate of McHenry High School, McHenry, Illinois.
In the 1960s and early 1970s, Mary Lou was employed by Allstate Insurance and United Airlines. After staying home with her two daughters, she went back to work in the 1980s with the Illinois Department of Human Services in Woodstock, Illinois. In 2000, she began her employment with Quill Corporation in Lincolnshire, Illinois, retiring in 2011.
Mary Lou enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, her flower gardens, baking, gathering the family history, and her cats.
Mary is survived by her daughters, Amy (Thomas) Griffiths and Karen (Lloyd) McMurphy; her grandsons, Ryan and Joshua Griffiths; her step-granddaughters, Cassia, Asia, Josette and Dorian McMurphy. She is also survived by her sister, Jo Anne Graser, and brothers-in-law, John Grandt and Jim Graser, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary Lou was preceded in death by her sister, Sheila Grandt; her nephew, Jeffrey Grandt; and her niece, Mary Kessler in infancy.
At Mary Lou’s request, visitation and services are not being held.
A private family burial will be held at Woodland Cemetery in McHenry, Illinois.

JoAnn R. Heling, 87, of Shawano, went to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, May 1, 2017, at Shawano Health Services in Shawano.
JoAnn was born on Jan. 18, 1930, in Shawano, a daughter of the late Paul and Frances (Doran) Martens. She attended Shawano schools, graduating from Shawano High School in 1947. Following graduation, she went to work as a bookkeeper at Lauerman’s Department Store in Shawano. On Sept. 10, 1949, she was united in marriage to Willis “Bud” Heling at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. The couple lived in Shawano their entire married life. Bud preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 1994.
JoAnn was a good and faithful member of St. James Lutheran Church of Shawano, where she served with the Tabitha Society. She enjoyed going to exercise class and walking everywhere. She loved spending time at the Civic Center, having lunch with classmates, flowers, birds, animals and doing puzzles. But most importantly she loved spending time with her family. JoAnn will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Thomas (Carmen) Heling, of Shawano, and Barbara (Gary) Akgulian, of Appleton; her grandchildren, Angela (Brandon) Koss of Green Bay, Joshua (Jessica) Heling of Shawano, and Zach Akgulian and Rachel Akgulian, of Appleton; five great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Heling, Austin Heling, Camryn Heling, Georgia Koss and Lillie Koss; her sisters-in-law, Sandra Martens and Marge Rusch; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Daniel Martens and David Martens; her sister-in-law, Gwen Martens; and her brother-in-law, Harold Rusch.

Roger L. “Chief” House, 85, of Salem, died on Jan. 16, 2017, at his home.
Roger was born in Keshena on Aug. 30, 1931, the son of the late Fred and Rhoda (Oshkosh) House. Roger attended school in Keshena. On Jan. 16, 1954, Roger was united in marriage to Gloria Kitson, who preceded him in death on March 28, 2000. The couple resided in Salem since 1962. He served our country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict.
Roger worked for Chrysler Motors for 30 years, and in his spare time enjoyed hunting, gardening, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and watching the Packers.
Roger is survived by his children, Geralyn Morrow, of Kenosha, Delores House, of Salem, Frederick House, of Bristol, and Roger A. (Brenda) House, of Bristol; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; his sister, Natalie (Dean) Meyers; his brother, Reginald House; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria; two sons, Mark and Jeffrey; his parents; seven brothers and sisters, Yvette Peters, Jeanette Frechette, Fern Grant, Arlene Funk, Weston “Buddy” House, Richanda House and Geraldine House; and son-in-law, Joseph Morrow.

James A. Vollmer, 80, of Tigerton, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2017, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah.
James Arlo Vollmer was born on Aug. 8, 1936, in Tigerton to Fred and Esther (Seefeldt) Vollmer. As a young man, Jim started working at the Butch Conradt farm, and he also worked for some time at the gas station in Tigerton. Jim entered the U.S. Army and served from 1954-1956. He was united in marriage on Aug. 29, 1959, to Sandra L. Karschney at St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton.
Jim was employed by White’s Construction, Milwaukee, as a heavy equipment operator and as foreman from 1957-1969. Then he went to work for Ralph Schroeder Excavating, Tigerton, and finally with J.I. Case Company, Wausau, until his retirement in the early 1990s.
Jim was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton, and he was proud to be a lifetime member of the NRA. Jim always liked the outdoors, whether he was trout fishing with his brother, Marty, or going on fishing trips to Montana, Alaska or Canada. Jim enjoyed hunting for small game, and he was a “legendary” deer hunter. He was a true handyman who could fix or repair just about anything.
Jim will be remembered most for his wonderful sense of humor, as a real jokester, and he was always helping others out.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Sandy, and four children, Robin (friend Dave Garton) Rivard, of Elderon, Jim (Shelly) Vollmer, of Kronenwetter, Michael (Mona) Vollmer, of Xenia, Ohio, and Tammy (Jeff) Bydynkowski, of Weston. There are five grandchildren, Jessi (fiancé BJ Penegor) Rivard, Michael Vollmer, Monica Vollmer, Joshua Bydynkowski and Brady Bydynkowski. There are two great-grandchildren, Christopher and Elizabeth Penegor. There is a sister, Leella Zitzke, of Seymour, and a sister-in-law, Doris Vollmer, of Clintonville. There are two sisters-in-law, Karen Carlson, of Elderon, and Marlene (Floyd) Mattson, of Elderon; and two brothers-in-law, Edwin “Duke” (Donna) Karschney, of Tigerton, and William (Kay) Karschney, of Hatley. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons, Jason and Jed Rivard; four sisters, Luella Steinke, LaVera Tullberg, Bonnie Sanderfoot and Violet Conradt; one brother, Marty Vollmer; and several brothers-in-law.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 9, at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Tigerton, with the Rev. Matthew Uttenreither and the Rev. Clifford Kessen officiating. Inurnment will follow at Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Military Honors will be provided at the cemetery by members of American Legion Post 239 of Tigerton. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Elaine E. Breitenfeldt, 94, of Tigerton, passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017, at Oakhaven Assisted Living Facility, Shawano.
The former Elaine Erna Radtke was born on Jan. 18, 1923, in the town of Grant, Shawano County, to Albert and Angela (Hanneman) Radtke. As a young lady, she did child care for several families in the Wausau and Shawano areas.
Elaine was united in marriage on May 14, 1949, to Waldo “Whitey” Breitenfeldt at St. John Lutheran Church, Marion. Whitey and Elaine made their home on Breitenfeldt Road where they continued with the family dairy operation. The couple sold the farm to their son, Bruce, in 1976 and then moved to the home on Weasel Dam Road. Elaine helped on the farm for many years and raised the family.
Whitey and Elaine enjoyed watching their kids’ and grandkids’ sporting events and were always the loudest fans. Elaine was a longtime supporter of Caroline Cougar baseball. She was a current member of Zion Lutheran Church, Caroline, and a former Marion Lioness member. Elaine was involved in all sorts of activities and projects with the Ladies Aide and the Altar Guild, volunteered as a Sunday School teacher and participated in several Bible study groups. Her favorite pastime was working in her flower garden, golfing and bowling.
Elaine made friends everywhere she went, and her outgoing personality made it easy for her to meet people. She will be remembered most for her wonderful sense of humor and her smile that lit up the room. Elaine was a very caring person and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include three children, Barb (James Hanke) Spiegel, of New Holstein, Bruce (Char) Breitenfeldt, of Tigerton, and Bev Zimmerman, of Peeples Valley, Arizona. There are 10 grandchildren, Stephanie (Curtis) Brown, Corrin Spiegel, Danielle (Gerson Tovias Escobar) Engum, Justin Engum, Jeremy (Becky) Engum, Nikki Breitenfeldt, Jason Breitenfeldt, Ryan (Regina) Breitenfeldt, Jamie Hoffman and Tracy (Chance) Spencer. There are 11 great-grandchildren, Paige, Naythen, Jaeger, Pheniox, Meah, Weston, Ethan, Mason, Allison, Taryne and Cy. There is one sister, Angela “Honey” (Wallace) Beck, of Wausau, and one sister-in-law, Olive Hoffmann, of Marion. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter at birth; her husband, Whitey, on Jan. 9, 1996; a daughter, Betty Vander Kinter; and her siblings, Martin, Oscar, Esther, Edna, Eunice and Alvin.
The funeral service will be Monday, May 8, at 11 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, Caroline. The Rev. Craig Nehring will officiate, and burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.

Earl J. Nelson Jr., 92, Bowler, died Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at Homme Home of Wittenberg under the care of his family and Ministry Hospice, Wausau.
He was born on May 1, 1925, in Waterford, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Earl Sr. and Selma (Terkleson) Nelson.
On June 23, 1962, Earl was united in marriage to Patricia McFarlane in Iowa. She preceded him in death on March 7, 2001.
Earl attended Wayside Grade School and graduated from Wittenberg High School in 1943. Earl was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1944-1946. Following an honorable discharge, Earl moved to Bowler, where he farmed together with his parents until 1957. He then operated Nelson’s Service until 1972, and then was employed at Clintonville Motors for 21 years, retiring in 1993. Earl drove school bus for 29 years.
Earl joined the Bowler Fire Department in 1960. He was fire chief for 20-plus years. He served on the Bowler Village Board from 1964-2010. Earl was a member of the Bowler American Legion from 1947 to present as well as a member of the Shawano County 40/8 from 1950 to present. He belonged to the Bowler Snowmobile Club since 1970 and was a charter member of the Wittenberg FFA Chapter.
Survivors include five children, Debbie (Greg) Rosenow, Eland, Vickie Spencer, Schofield, Kim (Ron) Beran, Birnamwood, Gary (Marie) Spencer, Florida, and Alan “Buzz” (Robin) Nelson, Lena; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Maryanne Johnson, Chicago; and one brother-in-law, Fred Lang, Tigerton.
In addition to his wife and parents, Earl was preceded in death by one brother, Forrest; one sister, Janet Lang; and one brother-in-law, Jules Johnson.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Bowler. The Rev. Michael Schram will officiate, with military rites conducted by the American Legion. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Schmidt & Schulta Funeral Home, Wittenberg, and again on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church.

Calvin Mahkimetas Hanchett, 38, of Janesville, passed away due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident, on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, in Janesville.
Born in Shawano on Sept. 24, 1978, he was the son of Jon and Stephanie (Phelps) Hanchett. Calvin attended Shawano High School and was an outgoing, social person who loved people. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Calvin loved to be part of a team. In 1993, he earned a bronze medal in volleyball at the Special Olympics World Games in Connecticut. He was also a proficient skipper on his Janesville curling team.
Calvin loved singing, dancing, the thrill of roller coasters, and was an avid Packers fan. He loved his family and spending time with them, especially during the holidays.
Calvin is survived by his parents, Jon and Stephanie Hanchett, of Shawano; his brothers and sister, Jon (Sarah) Hanchett, of Quincy, Illinois, Joe Hanchett, of Bristol, England, Ben Hanchett, of Chicago, Sarah (Bill) Brennan, of Shawano, William Hanchett, of Shawano, and Robert Powless, of Shawano; his birth parents, Sonny Boyd and Ellie Mahkimetas; and siblings, Darwin Mahkimetas, Alfred Mahkimetas and Ethel Mahkimetas. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Calvin will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. John Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will held at the funeral home on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, from 4-8 p.m. and again on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Milford D. “Pooter” Mohawk III, 44, of Bowler, began his journey to the Spirit World on May 4, 2017, at his home.
Pooter was born on Dec. 2, 1972, in Shawano, a son of Milford Mohawk Jr. and the late Janis (Davids) Mohawk. He attended the Bowler Schools, graduating from Bowler High School in 1990. Pooter had been employed at the casino and at the Mohican Wellness Center. On June 27, 2009, he was united in marriage to the former Deanna Verhaagh at the Stockbridge Munsee Many Trails Park.
Pooter enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children whom he loved so dearly. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and gathering resources from the forest. He will be greatly remembered by his family for the huge fish fries which he hosted at his home for family get-togethers, as well as his ability to make people laugh and feel welcome.
Survivors include his loving wife, Deanna; his children, Louise Mohawk, Dylan “Mashakwett” Mohawk, Tashyla “Mashaktokewin” Mohawk, Anahkwett Waupoose, Kiwaekum Waupoose and Benjamin Stevens; his grandchildren, Xavier, Axton, Lorilie and Mason; his father, Milford (special friend, LouAnn Jacobs) Mohawk Jr., of Bowler; his sisters, Kathleen (Norman) Shawanokasic, of Legend Lake, and Karrie (Lawrence Tucker) Mohawk, of Bowler; his brother, Kevin (Cheryl Kitson) Mohawk, of Keshena; and his special brother, Larry (Shelley) Davids.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Janis Louise (Davids) Mohawk, whom he missed and loved dearly.
Funeral services for Milford D. “Pooter” Mohawk III will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Lutheran Church of the Wilderness. Pooter’s uncle, Woody Davids, will officiate. Interment will be in the Stockbridge Indian Burial Grounds. Visitation will begin on Saturday, May 6, 2017, after 2 p.m. at the Karrie Mohawk residence, N8683 Poplar St., Bowler, and on Sunday at the church from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.

David P. Heidemann, 68, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, May 2, 2017, at Evergreen Care Center in Shawano.
David was born May 28, 1948, in Appleton, a son of the late John and Ella (Grode) Heidemann. He attended school in Kimberly. Following school, he was employed at Brillion Iron Works and later at a tile company.
David was a loving man who provided home care for his significant other for over a year and a half. He enjoyed the sport of bowling. He was a very simple man who loved his family. While a resident at Evergreen Care Center, David was very active with all affairs.
Survivors include his sisters, Irene (Ralph) Boldt, of Menasha, and Theresa (Ivan) Young, of Shawano; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph and Robert Heidemann; his sisters, Beatrice and Mary Pat Heidemann; and his sister-in-law, Lois Heidemann.
A Funeral Mass for David P. Heidemann will be celebrated on Saturday, May 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. The Rev. Luke Ferris will be the celebrant. Interment will take place at Holy Name of Jesus Cemetery in Kimberly at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
