Robert Lloyd “Bob” Seehafer, 81, of Shawano, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017, in Shawano.
Bob was born in Shawano on Nov. 22, 1935, the son of the late Alvis and Magdeline (Bowan) Seehafer. He proudly served our country in the Air Force. After his honorable discharge in 1958 from the Air Force, he served in the Naval Reserves. Bob was a life member of the AMVETS Post 10, where he also served on the color guard. On June 23, 1990, Bob was united in marriage to Diane (Koehler) Geringer at St. James Lutheran Church.
Bob retired from Warvel Products in Gillett. He was an avid Packers, Brewers and Badgers fan and enjoyed going to the casino, sign-ins and spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his wife, Diane; five daughters, Jamie Seehafer, Dawn Wheeler, Bobbi Johnson, Joey (Jody) Seehafer and Tina (Nathan) Geringer; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his brother, Jim (Nancy) Seehafer; two sisters, Mary (Dale) Belongia and Margaret (Gene) Debouche; four sisters-in-law, Nancy Koehler, Shirley (Randy) Hacker, Sharon (Rick) Nuske and Terri (Tom) Watters; one brother-in-law, Wayne (Scarlett) Koehler; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dave Seehafer; his mother-in-law and father-in-law; and two brothers-in-law.
Funeral services for Bob will be held at 3:30 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2017, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with the Rev. Dr. Timm Griffin officiating. Military honors will be conducted at the church by the AMVETS Post 10 following the service. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service.
