Littie Jean Dixon (born West), 79, passed on peacefully at home after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Max Dixon; their three children, Kevin Dixon-Seidl, Brenda Neosh-Dixon and Michienne Dixon; three grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
She graduated from Hyde Park High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from Bryant-Stratton College in Chicago. She was a certified corrections officer for the state of Wisconsin and retired from the Menominee Tribal Police Department.
She resided on Meadow Road, Birnamwood, for 40 years before moving to Independence, Missouri, in 2007.
She passed away on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017.
There will be a small private ceremony attended by immediate family members in Liberty, Missouri.
