Clarence G. Chapman, 89, of Shawano, formerly of West Bend, passed away peacefully in the loving care of his niece on Friday afternoon, Feb. 17, 2017, in the town of Wescott.
Clarence was born on Dec. 15, 1927, in West Bend, a son of the late Henry and Minnie (Meyer) Chapman. He graduated from West Bend High School.
Clarence worked in the grocery business most of his professional life. When he retired, he moved into the house he built in Shawano. Clarence was born and raised Catholic. He loved to cook, bake and grow flowers.
Clarence is survived by one brother, Ray Chapman, of West Bend, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers, Milford, Elmer, Eugene, Richard, Jerry and LeRoy Chapman; and two sisters, Lucille Chapman and Laverne Heiting.
In keeping with Clarence’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Burial will be at Holy Angels Cemetery in West Bend.
