
Martha Ann Naber, 59, of Naperville, Illinois, died on Feb. 10, 2017, while surrounded by family and friends, after battling cancer for 20+ years.
Martha was a loving, gentle soul who loved traveling, photography, creating art, hiking and walking, and laughing with family and friends.
Martha was born in Shawano, graduated from Shawano High School and went on to get a bachelor’s degree from DePaul University in business management. She retired from IBM after many years in customer service.
Martha, daughter of John and Margaret Naber, who preceded her in death, is survived by siblings Charley, Tom, Andy, (Dorie Miller) Mary, Paul and Therese, as well as nephews Matthew (Katlynn and children Shiloh, Tucker, Greyson and Jackson) and Daniel, and niece Anne.
There will be a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. Visitation will be on Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano from 4-7 p.m. and again at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A prayer service will be held at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Naperville, Illinois, on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Wellness House, Hinsdale, Illinois (a center that offers support for people living with cancer), or the Sacred Heart School Fund, Shawano (fund used for scholarships for low-income children, and where Martha went to elementary school).
