
Florence M. Stueck, 92, of Shawano, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, Nov. 20, 2016, at Oak Haven of Shawano, where she had been a resident for 1 1/2 years.
Florence was born on April 13, 1924, in Caroline, a daughter of the late August and Frieda (Ebert) Grosskopf. Following high school she lived in Two Rivers, where she was employed at Hamilton Manufacturing.
On Dec. 23, 1946, Florence was united in marriage to Donald R. Stueck. He preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 2000. Following their marriage the couple lived and farmed near the Novitiate. In 1966 they sold the farm and moved to Shawano. Florence was then employed at Zwicker Knit Mill as a garment inspector for almost 20 years.
Florence liked to be outdoors, growing flowers, feeding the birds and squirrels, and adopting stray animals. She loved her dog, Angel. She also enjoyed traveling with her sister, May.
Survivors include her children, Audrey Fisken, of Shawano, and Travis Stueck, of the town of Waukechon; grandson, Jim (Amy) Fisken, of Shawano; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Brandi; brothers-in-law, Creade (Bernice) Stueck and Archie Schmidt; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mabel (Harry) Otto and June (Walter) Pedersen; and her brothers, LaVerne (Beatrice) Grosskopf and Herbert Grosskopf.
Funeral services for Florence M. Stueck will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Elias Lutheran Church, town of Herman. Pastor Lois Graper will officiate. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at Mickelson Funeral Service of Shawano from 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
