Milton “Le” L. Langsten, 82, of the Township of Morris, Shawano County, passed away Wednesday evening, Nov. 2, 2016, at Greentree Health & Rehabilitation Center, Clintonville.

Milton Leland Langsten was born on Aug. 14, 1934, in Milwaukee to the late Milton C. and Roberta M. (Sawyer) Langsten. He grew up in the West Allis area and graduated from Nathan Hale High School in 1952. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany from 1957-1959.

Milton was united in marriage to his childhood sweetheart, Suzanne Elliott, on Feb. 25, 1961, in West Allis. In 1965, Milton began working for Milwaukee County as a diesel and heavy equipment mechanic, retiring in 1990 after 25 years. After retirement, Milton & Suzanne built a home on 80 acres in the town of Morris, a place which they loved. He loved to work and “putz” around the property, always keeping busy. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his children and grandchildren, which often meant traveling around the world.

Milton was fortunate enough to be able to travel to places like Malaysia, China and many parts of Europe. He always enjoyed being with family; anytime, anywhere.

Milton was involved with Tigerton Main Street, active in revitalizing the village, as well as his gardening groups, Northern Gardeners and Wild Ones.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne; daughter, Elizabeth (Ravi) Langsten, Richardson, Texas; sons, Lt. Col. (Dr.) Randall (Kris) Langsten, El Dorado Springs, Missouri, and Col. (Dr.) Robert (Krista) Langsten, Cudjoe Key, Florida; grandchildren, Dr. Benjamin Langsten, Anna (Mike)
Anderson, Amelia (Adam) Relford, Holly Langsten and Hannah Langsten; stepgrandchildren, Capt. (Dr.) Alexandra Egentowich and Allyson Egentowich; and great-grandson, Carson Relford.

Milton was preceded in death by his parents.

The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Marion, is assisting his family.
