Dorothy M. Gueller, 104, of Shawano, passed away on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.
Dorothy was born in Shawano on Sept. 8, 1912, the daughter of the late Ferdinand and Emma (Echtner) Jensen. She graduated from Shawano High School in 1929.
On May 28, 1938, Dorothy was united in marriage to Harold H. Gueller in Shawano. He preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 1991.
Dorothy earned her associate degree in library science and worked at the Shawano library for many years.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Jon (Betty) Gueller, of Cedarburg, Lawrence (Marilyn) Gueller, of Keshena, Julie (Dale) Huebner, of Shawano, Frederick (Judy) Gueller, of Pulaski, Jane (Elwyn) Rank, of Cecil, and Ann (Tom) Ammerman, of Gillett; nine grandchildren; many loving great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Hafemann, of Shawano.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, her parents and two sisters.
A family graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano with Mr. Richard Menning officiating.
Memorials in Dorothy’s name may be given to Shawano library.
