
Manuel Posadas Ramos, M.D., 70, of Keshena, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016. Born on March 22, 1946, in San Carlos, Pangasinan, Philippines, he was the son of the late Turbicio and Juana (Posadas) Ramos.
On Aug. 18, 1984, Manny was united in marriage to Yvonne Waupoose in Butler. Manuel started his career as a psychiatrist at Milwaukee County Mental Health and retired from the 16th Street Clinic. He was a member of St. Anthony Church in Neopit and St. Agnes Church in Butler, the Filipino American Medical Society of Wisconsin, the Medical Society of Wisconsin and the University Santo Tomas Medical Alumni.
Manny had a passion for music. He loved singing, playing and listening to music. In his free time, he loved golfing.
Manny is survived by his wife, Yvonne; brother, Alejandro P. (Maritess) Ramos, of Milwaukee; mother-in-law, Sharon Waupoose; brothers-in-law, Irvin (Laura Hocevar) Waupoose Jr., James Waupoose, Gerald Waupoose and the Honorable Judge William Pocan; sisters-in-law, Consuelo Ramos and Luz Ramos; special aunt and uncle, Mary and Guy Grignon; as well as nieces and nephews, Alexandria Ramos, Arnold Ramos, Vince Ramos, Kathleen Ramos, Joe Ramos, Miriam Ramos, Jennifer Waupoose and Joshua Waupoose.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Leonardo Ramos, M.D., and Antonio Ramos; and a sister in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Neopit Community Center on Thursday, Oct. 6, 2016, from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
