
Roberta “Bobbie” Wendt-Machek, of Bonduel, passed away on Sept. 29, 2016, surrounded by her family and special friends, Connie, Diane and Muffy. She was born on Jan. 20, 1966, to Robert and Nancy (Theis) Wendt Jr.
Bobbie graduated from Bonduel High School, Class of 1984. After high school, she attended NWTC, graduating with a degree as a hospital unit coordinator, a career she worked at for over 28 years at Shawano Medical Center, before retiring in 2013 due to health reasons.
On Sept. 30, 2011, Bobbie was united in marriage to John Machek in Green Bay. She lived all her life in Bonduel, with the last couple of years in her dream home that she and John designed. After attending classes at St. Norbert College, Bobbie became a certified travel agent. She loved traveling and planned many wonderful trips with her mom.
Bobbie was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Bonduel and the National Association of Health Unit Coordinators. She was also an avid stamper, creating many greeting cards, and enjoyed spending time with her cat, Jack, and her sister, Shelly, whenever she could visit.
Bobbie is survived by her husband, John; her parents, Robert and Nancy Wendt, of Bonduel; one sister, Shelly (Mike) Stoughton, of Florida; and two brothers, Todd (Sue) Wendt, of Green Bay, and Brad Wendt, of Bonduel; her niece and nephew, Amanda Wendt and Greg Stoughton. She is further survived by her in-laws, John (Carole) Machek, of Wausau; mother-in-law, Alice Kraft, of Arizona; and sister-in-law, Julie Byre, of Green Bay; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2016, at Zion United Methodist Church in Bonduel with Pastor Charles Wendt officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the services.
