Oura G. Schneider, of Tigerton, passed away on Aug. 29, 2016, at 8:25 p.m. at Pine Manor in Embarrass. He was born on July 24, 1938, in Oshkosh to Albert and Lavina (Benedict) Schneider. He spent eight years in the National Guard.
“Tub” was employed by the L.A. Country Club for many years as chief engineer. Tub enjoyed riding around his tractors and always hoped to be a farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte; two sons, Robert Schneider, of Los Angeles, and David Schneider, of Middleton; two brothers, Warren (Pat) Schneider, of Oshkosh, and Wayne (Barb) Schneider, Atoka, Tennessee; sister, Rosemary Sheldon, of Oshkosh; and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at St. Claire’s Hospital in Weston and the staff at Pine Manor in Embarrass for their kindness and exceptional care of Oura.
Per Oura’s wishes, no services will be held. Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona, is assisting the family with arrangements.
