
Yvonne “Sweet Pea” Perez began her crossing into eternity on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2016, after a tenacious and tireless battle with cancer.
Yvonne was born on Dec. 28, 1937, the daughter of the late Earl and Jane (Irving) Ermatinger. She was united in marriage to Benjamin “Buddy” Perez on Jan. 19, 1957. Benjamin preceded her in death in 2010. She enjoyed watching the Packers, loved spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and gardening.
Sweet Pea was pint-sized, but her heart and actions were enormous. Family was the most important thing to her and that was evident by the unconditional love and overwhelming support she had given to all her children.
Sweet Pea is survived by her children, Camilo (Jeanette) Perez, of Keshena, Renata (Alex) Maulson, of Keshena, Luana (Ramiro Molina) Perez, of Appleton, Mary Perez, of Keshena, Ben (Denise Nacotee) Perez, of Neopit, Scott Perez, of Keshena, Flora Moreno, of Keshena. She is further survived by 28 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren; one sister, Vivian Ranta; and one brother, Bernard “barnyard” (Josie) Tourtillott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin “Buddy” Perez; sons, Earl Perez and Dean “Dino” Perez; and her infant daughter, Lorna Perez; one sister, Tookson; her brother, Mervin “Tinger” Ermatinger; brother-in-law, Clarence “Stinky” Perez; and two sisters-in-law, Mona Fish and Gaynelle Maho.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
