William L. Boivin Jr.

William L. “Bill” Boivin Jr. (Kewaskum), 45, of Shawano, started his journey home on Aug. 10, 2016.

Bill was born on Jan. 20, 1971, in Milwaukee, a son of William L. Boivin Sr. and Merilynn Leroy. He loved being with family, joking around, and making people laugh and smile. He was an avid Packers fan and a hard worker.

Bill loved his children and was very proud of each of them. He wasn’t just a cousin or friend, he was always known as a brother and uncle.

Bill was known by many nicknames, such as “Mudda Pudda.”

Bill is survived by his children, David, Leighann, Kaidence, Phillip, Jeanetta and Mkomese Boivin; his stepchildren, Alice and Miles “Chummy” Tourtillott; his mother, Merilynn “Twin” Leroy; his father, William Boivin Sr.; his brothers, Kenneth, Sean and Derek Boivin; his sister, Mary Ann Martin; six nieces and one nephew. He is also survived by his lifetime partner, Annie Dodge, mother of Mkomese, and his friend and the mother of his five children, Addrienne Schofield.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and many aunts and uncles.

Traditional Native American services for William L. Boivin Jr. will be held on Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Menominee Tribal Community Center in Neopit. Chris Roth will officiate. Following the service there will be a procession to Red Springs Cemetery, town of Red Springs. Relatives and friends may call at the Community Center after 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, until the time of service on Saturday morning.
