
Mary M. Rizzo, 80, of Apache Junction, Arizona, passed away on Monday, July 19, 2016. She was born on Sept. 23, 1935, in Shawano, the youngest of 17 born to Elmer and Lela (Meverden) Owen.
She married her loving husband, Victor Rizzo. She was formerly a member of Sacred Heart Church.
Mary retired from Maple Lane Health Care Center in 2001. She moved to Apache Junction, Arizona, in 2009 and lived with her son and his wife, David and Diane Rizzo. She loved playing bingo across the street at the Moose Lodge and had made many friends there.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her brothers, Lester, Delbert, Roger, Harland, Aloysius, Russell, Wilfred, Creed and Milton Owen; and her sisters, Evelyn Heinrich, Veronica Lewis, Susan Bero, Catherine Dalum and Harriet Dillon.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law; her sisters, Mildred Antos and Neomi (Ethel) Yokes; her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Jennifer Schutt and Robert Stickney; her great-grandchildren, Makayla, Austin and Blake Stickney; many, many nieces and nephews.
The Lord took her quietly after battling a year with many health problems. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends may call at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 111 E. Green Bay St., Shawano, for an 11 a.m. Mass on Wednesday, Aug. 3, with a luncheon to follow. Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
