Leone “Lee” Stark, 71, of Kaukauna, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee surrounded by family. Lee was born on Nov. 17, 1947, daughter of the late John “Jack” and Zita (Muraski) Alft and grew up in White Lake. Lee married John Stark on May 10, 1969, at St. James Church in White Lake and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past May. Lee always liked watching the Packers and would wear their colors proudly. She also fondly looked forward to returning to White Lake each year for its annual Fourth of July celebration. Lee was a checker at Larry’s Piggly Wiggly in Kaukauna for 25 years before retiring.
Lee is survived by her husband, John; and two sons, Steve Stark and partner Jolee and her son, Quinn, Jason and wife Michelle Stark and their children, Zayonna, Carlos, and Davis. She is also survived by her four sisters, Mary (Tom) Stark, Nancy Carroll, Jane (Dave) Demeny and Audrey Hanson; and a brother, George (Connie) Alft.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Alft.
Funeral services were held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at the Verkuilen-Van Deurzen Family Funeral Home, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna. Visitation was held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established.
