Mary Ann Teske, 78, of Pella, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, in Shawano surrounded by her family. Born on May 22, 1940, in the Town of Brazeau in Oconto County, Mary was the daughter of the late Casey and Doris (Dunst) Rysewyk. Mary was united in marriage to Donald L. Teske on July 2, 1960, at St. John Lutheran Church Hermansfort. The couple was married for 58 endearing years and lived in Shawano County for their entire marriage. The last five years, Mary has devoted her time to caring for Don, who is suffering from dementia. Mary was a seamstress by trade; she worked for Eagle Knit and then RADCO before retiring in 2006. Mary loved to spend time outdoors. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, camping and spending time with family. She was also fond of watching the deer and turkeys from her patio window and keeping all of the local birds well fed. She also loved her special dog, Tuffy, who recently passed.
Mary is survived by her husband, Don; and two sons, Roger (Cindy) Teske and Greg (Jackie) Teske.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Albert R. Rysewyk and Evelyn Tischauser; and her husband’s parents, Clarence and Anita Teske.
Funeral services for Mary will be held on Monday, April 15, 2019, at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church Hermansfort, with the Rev. Steve Conradt officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
