Joan M. Rosenow, 77, of Gresham, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019, at Ascension St. Clare’s Hospital in Weston surrounded by her family.
Joan was born on May 26, 1941, to the late Claude and Hazel (Kessen) Bowman. She was raised by her stepdad, Morris Bowman. On Aug. 24, 1957, she was united in marriage to Roger Rosenow at Peace United Church of Christ in Clintonville. Joan and Roger attended Shawano High School, dropped out, but then returned to high school to earn their diplomas. Joan went on to graduate from UW-Green Bay with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She worked as a fourth and fifth grade teacher at Bowler Elementary School for 22 years. Joan enjoyed her many years of teaching and above all else, spending time with her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Roger; three sons, Randy, Rick and Russ Rosenow; three grandchildren, Sheldon (Amy) Rosenow, Risk (Olivia) Rosenow and Crystal (Lester) Moesch; nine great-grandchildren, Parker, Mallory, Roselynn, Revel, Rouge, Roman and Jayden Santiago, and Chance and Gary Moesch; her sister, Bonnie (Sydney) Maas; her brother, Peter Bowman; her special friend, Mary Hanson; and many nieces and nephews.
Per Joan’s wishes, there will be no formal services held, but please pause and take a moment to remember her.
