Born Aug. 20, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, Loretta was called to her heavenly home on Sept. 23, 2018, in Shawano.

Loretta, a drum majorette, graduated St. Florian High School at the age of 17. Always a talented pianist and singer and too young to enter a nightclub, Loretta would “sneak” out of her family home to sing with a prominent big band orchestra.

During the World War II era, Loretta attended the Chicago School of Business, where she won first place in the Illinois State typing competition. Later, she was employed at Lever Brothers and took second place as the War Bond Queen. A jack of all trades, Loretta was also employed as an administrative secretarial assistant, bus driver and owned her own flower shop in Orland Park, Illinois

In 1949, Loretta met and later married Robert L. Price Sr. Raising four children in Palos Park, Illinois, they were married from 1950 to 1993. During this time, Loretta was a devoted member of St. Michael’s Parish and was very active in the choir, altar guild and rosary society.

Upon retiring, Loretta moved to Shawano in 1992. In Shawano, she spent her remaining years doting on her family and planning every party event with her impeccable taste and panache.

Singer, dancer, jitterbug winner, and Bingo Momma, Loretta loved travel, old fashioneds and her family.

She is survived by her children, Robert (Sue Foster) Price Jr., of Cape Coral, Florida, Deborah (Steve) Borroughs, of Shawano, Cindy Lou LiVigni, of Shawano, and Ronald Price, of Chicago, Illinois. She is further survived by 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren with another on the way.

Her parents, Lawrence and Anastazia, and three brothers, Walter (Cecilia) Janeczko, Casmier (Cecilia) Janeczko and Edward (Stephanie) Janeczko, preceded her in death.

A funeral Mass will be held at noon on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 321 S. Sawyer St., Shawano. Visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10 a.m. until the time of the service. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
