
Allen P. Fuhrman, “Flinstone,” 75, Bowler, passed away at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, following a brief illness.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1942, the son of the late Melvin “Tic” and Edna (Wendler) Fuhrman.
He attended elementary school and some high school in Bowler.
Upon enlistment, he served in the United States Navy from November 1960 to February 1963, receiving an honorable discharge from active duty; then he transferred to the Naval Reserves until April 1965.
Flinstone resided in Rockford, Illinois, for several years before returning to the Bowler area, that being his boyhood home. He worked as a truck driver for most of his adult years for various companies. Flinstone enjoyed woodworking, visiting with friends and having a beer.
Survivors include a son; one aunt; one uncle; two great-nephews and many cousins and friends.
Preceding him in death are his parents; brother, Charles; and nephew, Kenneth. Rest in peace, Flinstone.
