Chauncey J. Webster Sr.

Chauncey J. Webster Sr., 67, of Neopit, started his journey to the Spirit World late Monday evening, March 26, 2018, in Shawano.

Chauncey was born July 19, 1950, in Shawano, a son of the late James Webster Sr. and Christine (Pierce) Webster. He attended Shawano schools. Following school, he was employed at MTE as a warehouse manager, as a logger, and as a disc jockey. On Sept. 24, 1994, he was united in marriage to Tammy Courchaine in Keshena. Chauncey is a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit. His passion was DJing. Chauncey also loved fly fishing. He was an avid Detroit Lions fan, and enjoyed crossword puzzles.

Survivors include his sons from a previous marriage, Chauncey (Joan) Webster Jr., of Neopit, Robert (Brenda) Webster, of Neopit, Dugan (Beth) Webster, of Shawano, Troy Webster, of Neopit, and Bronson (Fiona) Webster, of Keshena; his wife, Tammy, of Keshena; his daughters, Guadalupe (Tim) Tucker, of Keshena, Evelyn (Thomas Nacotee Jr.) Courchaine, of South Branch; Ashlee Webster, of Keshena, and Bethann (Jose Lopez) Courchaine, of Milwaukee; sons Jackson (Melissa Kelly), of Keshena, Jody Courchaine, of Milwaukee, Jeremy Perez, of Appleton, Desmond Escalante, of Keshena; five brothers, Stanley (Donnie) Webster, of Neopit, Sheldon (Ramona) Webster, of Neopit, Schuyler Webster, of Ontario, Canada, Sherman (Christine) Webster, of Oshkosh, and Keith (Tina) Webster, of Shawano; three sisters, Georgiana (Dr. Jerald) Ignace, of Brookfield, Mary Diane Webster, of Appleton, and Mary Lou Webster, of Appleton. Chauncey is further survived by his grandchildren whom he cherished, Derrin, Tre, Logan, Forest, Derrick, Dugan Jr., Destiny, Dacey, Schuyler, Bronson Jr., Jace, Marcionna, LaKayceon. Lavele, Keira, Thomas, Kaylee, Marquise, Kiandra, Adira, Josiah, Alyssa, and Amaba; two great-grandchildren, Sumner and Tatum Webster; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Schuyler Webster; two brothers, James Webster Jr. and Darrel Webster; one sister, Nancy Webster; and one niece, LaRonnah Webster.

A funeral Mass for Chauncey will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Neopit. The Rev. Francis Zurbano will be the celebrant. Interment will be in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018, at the Neopit Community Center and continue until the time of Mass on Wednesday. A parish wake service will take place on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Community Center.
