Carol Lee Chambers, 73, of Shawano, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017. Carol was born on Dec. 31, 1944, in Shawano to the late John and Elsie (Radtke) Braatz. On Jan. 11, 1964, Carol was united in marriage to Herbert Chambers Jr. at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano. Herb preceded her in death on Jan. 18, 2016. She lived in Shawano all her life, was a member of St. James Lutheran Church and worked at CRI for several years.
Carol is survived by two daughters, Dawn Chambers-Troia, of Shawano, and Jodi (Mike) Winkler, of Little Suamico; four grandchildren, Sam, Ryan and Ben Winkler and Parker Troia; and one sister, Betty (Ken) Lohrengal, of Shawano.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herb; a granddaughter, Katherine; her parents; and one brother, Daniel.
Funeral services for Carol will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, at St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with Pastor Mark Baldwin officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
